Snow versus AWP conference
Like every other writer in the Midwest (and beyond) right now, I am mourning the impeccable timing of this fluffy, white Armageddon, which corresponds perfectly with the big AWP writing conference in Washington DC. Conference starts tomorrow. I was supposed to be flying out in 6 hours. Now I’m scheduled to fly out in 30 hours. So hopefully that doesn’t get pushed further back. My goodness, it is fan-freaking-tastic to have such trivial problems as one’s greatest disturbance in life. Honestly.
Well, if I do, indeed, make it out there this week, please come see me at the Fence Books reading on Saturday night. Not only am I reading, but I’m reading with some of my favorite writers, which will be a super-honor. The details are below. In the meantime, stay warm and safe.
